Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Private Play is designed around a single idea: your photos and videos are none of our business. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: We do not have an account system, we do not run analytics or advertising, and we operate no server that receives your media. Your content is stored in an encrypted vault on your device. We collect no personal data from you.

1. Who we are

Private Play (the "app") is developed and published by Yangworks ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy applies to the Private Play app for iPhone and this website. If you have any questions, you can reach us at support@tk999.top.

2. Information we do not collect

Unlike most apps, the notable thing about Private Play is what it doesn't do. We want to be explicit:

  • No accounts. There is no sign-up or login. We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
  • No analytics or tracking. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and we do not track you across apps or websites.
  • No media uploads to us. We do not operate any server that receives, stores, or processes your photos and videos. We never see your content.
  • No personal data sent to us. The app does not transmit your personal information to us or to any third party for our benefit.

The app's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types, consistent with this policy.

3. Data stored on your device

Everything the app needs lives on your iPhone:

  • Your vault media. Photos and videos you add are stored inside an encrypted vault on the device. They are encrypted with keys held on your device.
  • Encryption keys. Keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the device's security hardware. They never leave your iPhone and are never sent to us.
  • App preferences. Settings such as your layout choices and sync configuration are saved locally on the device. This information stays on your device.

Because this data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it. Make sure you have exported anything you want to keep before deleting the app (see "Your control and choices" below).

4. Device permissions we request

iOS asks for your consent before the app can use certain features. We request the minimum needed and use each permission only for its stated purpose:

  • Photos. Used to move photos and videos you choose into the vault, and to save items from the vault back to your photo library. Access is used only when you take these actions.
  • Face ID. Used to unlock the private vault. The biometric check is performed entirely by iOS; the app only learns whether it succeeded and never receives your biometric data.
  • Local network. Used only if you choose to sync with a NAS or WebDAV server on your local network, so the app can find and connect to it.

5. Optional NAS & WebDAV sync

Private Play can optionally mirror your library to your own storage — for example a NAS via DS file, an SMB share, or any WebDAV server. This feature is entirely optional and off until you set it up.

  • When enabled, media and the server credentials you enter are used only to communicate directly with the server you specify. This traffic goes to your server, not to us.
  • We never receive your media or your server credentials. The connection is between your device and your server.
  • How your media is handled once it reaches your own server is governed by that server and your own configuration, which are under your control.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

Private Play offers a subscription and a one-time "Lifetime" purchase through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payments are processed by Apple, not by us. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Apple provides us with aggregated, non-identifying sales and subscription reports so we can operate the business. To manage a purchase, restore a purchase, or handle billing, the app relies on Apple's App Store and your Apple Account. Apple's handling of that information is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

The app does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. The only third party inherently involved is Apple, which provides the App Store, In-App Purchase, iCloud Keychain (if you enable it), and the operating system services the app runs on. Any server you connect for sync is a third party that you choose and control.

8. Children's privacy

Private Play does not target children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it does not build profiles of any user regardless of age.

9. Your control and choices

You are always in control of your content:

  • Export at any time. You can release photos and videos from the vault back to your iOS photo library whenever you like.
  • Delete everything. Removing items from the vault, or deleting the app, removes the associated on-device data. Since we hold none of your data, there is nothing for you to request from us.
  • Revoke permissions. You can change Photos, Face ID, and local network permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Important: Because your vault is encrypted on your device and we have no copy, we cannot recover your photos, videos, or passcode if you lose access to your device or forget your passcode. Please keep your own backups of anything important.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the new version here. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
